With thousands of shoes offered at half the manufacturer’s suggested retail price during the 19th annual “QVC Presents FFANY Shoes on Sale,” it was easier than ever for shoe lovers to take another step forward in the fight against breast cancer.
Supporting breast cancer research and education institutions nationwide, the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) and QVC selected the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine as one of nine beneficiaries of last year’s event. QVC and FFANY representatives presented Siteman Director Timothy J. Eberlein, M.D., with a check for $357,005, marking the eighth straight year of contributions to Siteman.
“Since 2005, QVC and FFANY have contributed nearly $3 million to the Joanne Knight Breast Health Center and the Breast Cancer Program at Siteman,” Dr. Eberlein said. “We are extremely grateful for their generosity, which allows our scientists to make some truly groundbreaking discoveries that impact breast cancer patients around the world.”
