State Rep. Rory Ellinger and His Wife Purchase Building on Olive for Renovation
State Rep. Rory Ellinger has bought a building on Olive with plans to build modern offices in it.
Missouri State Representative Rory Ellinger (University City) and his wife Linda Locke have bought the old Chapnick Lighting building on Olive.
According to a press release, they plan to renovate and update the building located at 6853 Olive Street, across the street from Schnucks Supermarket, into modern offices.
The building has been closed for a number of years.

The press release states that Ellinger and his wife will turn the 4400 square foot building into retail space and offices, including a legislative office for Ellinger; a law office for Ellinger and Associates; and a suite of offices for Reputare Consulting LCC, a firm owned by Locke that provides corporate reputation management consulting services.
"We believe in the future of Olive Street and northern University City, and are staking our own money on this area," said Ellinger. "We want to do our part to help revitalize Olive and spur economic development."

No date has been set for the opening of the office, but Ellinger expects it to open in the spring.
