U City High School to Dedicate Court, Gym on Friday Night
The ceremony will be held between games Friday night.
will host a gym and court dedication ceremony on Friday, Jan. 20, to formally dedicate Edward Crenshaw Gymnasium and Hasan Houston Court.
The dedication will occur at 6:30 p.m. between the girls and boys varsity basketball games versus .
Crenshaw coached the UCHS basketball team from 1974 to 1997 and is tenth in the list of Missouri high school coaches with the most wins.

Houston was a three-sport letterman from the UCHS Class of 1976 who was drafted into the NBA by the Houston Rockets but played professional football for the Chicago Bears.
The UCHS girls varsity game begins at 5 p.m. in the UCHS gym at 7401 Balson Avenue, and the boys varsity game begins at 7 p.m.

An admission charge of $5 covers both games and the dedication ceremony between games.
The University City Board of Education approved the honorary naming last year, but the formal dedication was held until basketball season.
