U-City Schools Holds 'Speed Dating' Teacher Recruitment Event
Teachers can register online for the event, which will allow both parties to actively choose each other, the district said.

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — The University City School District is looking to recruit teachers for the 2018-2019 school year and is hosting a "speed dating" event March 21 at Blueberry Hill to interview eligible candidates.
The district said it decided on a speed-dating format to allow administrators and potential teachers to choose each other, rather than a more traditional one-sided process.
"We have aggressive and clearly defined education goals and we acknowledge the importance of acquiring amazing teachers to forward those goals and teach our talented students," said Tiffany Slater, assistant superintendent of Human Resources for the district. "It's also important that interviewing is not a one-sided process. Both parties must actively choose each other. That's how we decided to invite candidates to participate in an exciting and welcoming speed-dating format."
