U City Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

celebrated its student athletes Wednesday afternoon, holding a signing ceremony for 10 football players offered college scholarships.

Wednesday was National Signing Day.

Interim Principal Dayle Burgdorf praised the students for their hard work and Coach Carl Reed for his efforts to help the students on and off the field.

"This is an unprecedented event for us," she said.

The athletes and their respective colleges are as follows:

• Kylann Clayborn - 
• Deandre Williams - Valley City State University (North Dakota)
• Alex Henry - Missouri Valley College
• Demonte Smith - Missouri Valley College
• Adrian Ming - Lindenwood University - Belleville
• Avion Ashford - Lincoln University
• Devante Washington - College of San Mateo (California)
• Mario Wallace - Foothill College (California)
• Ronald Perkins - Grossmont College (California)
