University City Police Department Holds Citizen’s Police Academy

A learning experience for University City citizens to know more about their law enforcement.

On April 18, the University City Police Department will start its Citizen’s Police Academy courses designed to provide greater insight for University City citizens regarding policing practices and services. The Citizen’s Police Academy will operate to foster better relationships between the University City Community and its law enforcement.

Courses from the Citizen’s Police Academy will be held to educate citizens on laws of arrest, crime scene information, patrol and investigative strategies, and other procedures to enhance understanding of the role and functions of the Police Department.

Courses will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on April 18, April 25, May 2, and May 9 at the University City Police Department.
