βWe encourage people to dress formally, but itβs by no means required,β he said. βItβs just fun.β
McClain added that the doors open when the broadcast starts at 6 p.m., and that the show will play through to the end, commercials and all.

βLast year, it was sparsely attended by about 50 or 60 people, and it was a really laid back atmosphere,β McClain said. βItβs good fun if you are into this sort of thing or if youβre tired of the same four walls and want to see it somewhere new.β
Concessions will be available for purchase, but McClain said the theatre doesnβt serve alcohol on Sundays.
Those who participate will receive 2012 Academy Awards nomination ballots, courtesy of Tivoliβs management team, and the St. Louis Film Critics will award prizes for contests, including trivia questions before the show and during commercial breaks, according to a press release.
Canβt get enough of the Oscars? You can also see the Oscar Nominated Short Films 2012: Live Action and Oscar Nominated Films: Animated, both currently playing at the theater. Each showing offers the opportunity to see all five Academy Award nominees in its individual category.
