"Dear Senator Chappelle Nadal, I just want to say thank you for the way you fought for all of us last night at that meeting in Hazelwood.

"I was impressed by how you knew who your constituents are and what cancer they have, and that you stood up and fought for them.

"I was shocked and appalled that that man got up and put his hands on you and kept telling you to shut up. I am very impressed with how you reacted, saying 'don’t tell me to shut up.'

"I am a shy person, non-assertive, and I would not have had the courage to do what you did. I admire you a great deal after the meeting last night. THANK YOU! YOU ROCK!!!"

- Cheryl

"Maria, Forgive me for not using your title, but it is easier for me to express myself when I talk with you at a personal level.

"My wife and I met you more than a decade ago in a Gannondale area home in U City.

"You were a beautiful dynamo then, as you are now. Your intelligence is only surpassed by your passion.

"I'm writing just to acknowledge that I see and appreciate these qualities and the youthful voice from which they are projected. "If I was physically able and 30 years younger, I could imagine directly supporting you and standing by you on the myriad of issues that we agree on.

"I can't tell you how grateful I am that a human being, woman and African American reflects herself with the confidence and strength that you do and represents my wife and me.

"So all I have left to say is GO GIRL!"

My best,

- Mark

"Thank you very much. Thank you for all you do for so many."

- Tom
