Officials say the partnership broadens real-world experience and could help regional agencies recruit future first responders.
   

• Holden Sonic Drive-In damaged in early morning fire (warrensburgstarjournal.com) — Warrensburg firefighters helped extinguish an early-morning blaze that heavily damaged the Sonic Drive-In in nearby Holden, where flames spread through the kitchen and roof before being contained around 1:15 a.m. No injuries were reported, but the restaurant will remain closed while the state fire marshal investigates the cause.
