1. Homecomings highlight coming days in Warren County (warrencountyrecord.com) — Warrenton R-III's Homecoming week is about to kick off, with a Sunday parade down Boonslick and Pinckney to the high school, followed by a powderpuff game and a full week of spirit activities. The celebration culminates in the Warriors' Friday night football game against Winfield and a Saturday dance, while Wright City wraps up its own Homecoming festivities.
2. Warrenton man facing drug, gun charges after allegedly shooting at residence (warrencountyrecord.com) — A rural Warrenton resident is facing multiple felony drug and weapons charges after a family member reported he had been walking with a rifle and that their residence had been shot at. Warren County deputies later searched his bedroom, where they say they found several firearms and suspected methamphetamine; the man, a convicted felon, is being held without bond.
3. Big finish carries Mellegaard, Warrenton to finishes near top of conference (warrencountyrecord.com) — Warrenton High's girls golf team and junior Makayla Mellegaard turned in strong performances at the GAC North/Central Tournament, with Mellegaard placing third and the Warriors finishing second overall. Warrenton softball also battled back in a close 7-6 loss at Winfield and is set to host Union next, giving local fans several chances to support their teams.
4. REMINDER: Long-Term Full Road Closure Scheduled on Missouri Route 47 near Hawk Point (einpresswire.com) — Drivers around Warrenton should prepare for a long-term full closure of Missouri Route 47 near Hawk Point starting as early as the week of October 5, with traffic detoured via Warrenton and I-70.
