The OASIS Institute and St. Charles City-County Library District unite to offer technology training for adults
OASIS Connections, the computer and technology training program for older adults, is now being offered in the St. Charles area through the St. Charles City-County Library District.
The OASIS Institute, a national nonprofit organization headquartered in St. Louis that promotes successful aging provides the Connections program curriculum, which is offered through senior centers, workforce training programs and library partners such as the St. Charles City-County Library District. The program includes courses designed to help older adults learn basic to intermediate technology skills, including internet browsing, email, social networking, job searching and essential workplace tools such as word processing and spreadsheets.

- Getting Acquainted with the Computer, June 10, from 10 am to 12 pm
- Going, Going Gone: An Introduction to eBay, June 21 from 1 to 3 pm
- Keeping Your Email Organized, June 28 from 10 am to 12 pm
All classes are currently being held in the Praxair Computer Training Room at the Spencer Road Branch, 527 Spencer Road, St. Peter, MO 63376. More classes are being planned for the coming months and will be held at various locations throughout the Library District.

The Connections program, which operates in 23 cities including St. Louis and now St. Charles, is funded by AT&T and the AT&T Foundation, who have supported the program with contributions totaling more than $3.7 million since 2002.
