Sorry I haven't written in over a month. Things have gotten really hectic. Though the good news is I have been accepted to a college, and have call backs for a few jobs. Now on to the important stuff.
As far back as I remember, the Cardinals love adversity. In 2004-2005 the Cardinals had the best record in baseball, but yet were swept in the World Series, and beaten in the NLCS. Yet in 2006, when they only won 83 games, they won the World Series; surprising and shocking the baseball world. On a side note, I remember shouting at a TV when the announcer said the Cardinals would never win.
Then the magical season of 2011, everyone remembers that: 10 and a half back, with a month to play. Then 2 runs down, with 1 strike left, twice. Then this season with Carpenter going down, and Lynn stepping up. The Cardinals are 19-11, with the best offense in the NL, and the second best pitching staff in the NL.

They were written off at the beginning of the 2012 season, and as of today, they have one of the best records in baseball. That is without Tony LaRussa, Dave Duncan and Albert Pujols. Thats also with Lance Berkman, and Chris Carpenter on the DL. Not to mention Adam Wainwright is not 100% yet.
Is there just a makeup of the Cardinals that make them fight their best when their backs are against the wall? That certainly seems to be the case.
