Thank You, Lake Saint Louis!
The Foundation Valentine Progressive dinner was a success thanks in large part to the residents of Lake Saint Louis.
Earlier this month members of the Lake Saint Louis community “Let their Hearts Take Flight” and hosted The Nurses & Company Home Health and Hospice Foundation’s Second Annual Valentine’s Progressive Dinner.
The outpouring of support from the community was amazing—we are so blessed to have such wonderful benefactors who believe in our mission and have a passion for providing the best quality of care for the seniors in our community.
A big thank you to Valenti’s Catering for providing the salad, entrée, and special Valentine’s dessert for the evening and the host homes from Moorings Estates in Lake Saint Louis who opened up their homes and made the Progressive Dinner possible. We thank you so much and thank all of those who were donors, sponsors and who attended the event. I am so proud to be a part of such an amazing community!

As I think about the last few years with the stock market crash, the job market plummet, the recession, the devastating tornadoes, earthquakes, and the frailty of the social security benefit, it strengthens my belief in the importance of the Nurses & Company Home Health and Hospice Foundation.
The Foundation was founded in 2006 as a lifeline to patients with financial limitations. Staff working in the community saw patients lacking basic necessities not always covered by their insurance or necessities they could not afford. The money raised by the Foundation goes to assist with those basic necessities, which may include: assistance with medication, respite care, funeral plans/arrangements, Hospice last wishes, equipment or personal items patients cannot afford.

Nurses & Company Foundation pledges to help patients and families achieve their optimal quality of life. What a blessing to have a ray of sunshine in The Foundation when so much is dim around us. We may grow older every year but age is only a number. Let’s live fully, laugh a-lot, and continually learn so that together we can age with grace.
