City of Wentzville Sets 2011 Tax Rate
Taxpayers should see a little over one cent decrease over 2010 rate.
The Board of Aldermen set the city's 2011 tax rate Wednesday.
Wentzville's tax rate for 2011 is 0.8958 per $100 of assessed valuation. According to Dennis Walsh, interim city administrator, this rate is a little over one cent below the city's 2010 rate.
By state statute, the city is required to set its tax rate each September after receiving its assessed valuations from St. Charles County.

The 2011 tax rate is as follows:
- General Fund — $0.8218
- Park Fund — $0.0740
- Total — $0.8958
The rate was passed unanimously by the board.
