Friedens Peace UCC located at 3560 Mill Street (HWY F), New Melle, is hosting a Family Fun Day & BBQ dinner on August 9th. There will be a Washers tournament starting at 1pm, turtle and sack race at 2pm, three legged race at 3pm, balloon toss at 4pm and a sack race at 5pm. There will be other games throughout the day. There will also be delicious BBQ Pork Steaks & Grilled Chicken dinners $10 or Hot Dogs $3 available from 12 pm to 6 pm. Dinners include corn on the cob, slaw, baked beans & ice cream. Coolers are acceptable.
