SPECIAL RECIPE FRIED CHICKEN DINNER

One of our member’s, has brought his family’s special recipe out of the closet for us to use. His father’ was the originator of the Country School Fried Chicken back in 1966 which later became Mr. Drumstick Fried Chicken restaurant franchise. After his father’s passing over 25 years ago Restaurants were sold, records lost, and the recipe thought to be gone. Then records were found and now the special recipe has been recovered. Last year was the first showing and wow was it a success!

It is this SPECIAL RECIPE FRIED CHICKEN that Friedens Peace in New Melle will be serving at their dinner. The Dinners will also include cornbread, mashed potatoes and
gravy, green beans, slaw and baked beans. Cost of the Dinner is: Adults & carry outs $10, kids 11-5 $5.00 and those under 5 are free. There will also be a Country Store and Craft Venders that day. For more information call 636-828-5980 or email to friedenpeace@gmail.com.
