GM Plant in Wentzville Opens its Doors to Visitors
Hundreds of people visited the GM factory in Wentzville during an open house Wednesday. Workers showed visitors how hundreds of vehicles are made each day.
Patch took a tour of the General Motors Truck Plant in Wentzville during Wednesday's open house.
GM is holding events at all 54 of its U.S. manufacturing locations and the Customer Care and Aftersales warehouses in 2011. The events are aimed at giving the public the opportunity to learn more about the company’s people, products and plants.
The Wentzville Assembly Center is the global production site for the full size van. In addition, Wentzville has a contiguous stamping facility that produces body parts that are used in the production of the Chevy Express and GMC Savana full size vans.
