Dardenne Prairie Church's Christmas Concert Sold Out

The Josh Wilson concert at Morning Star Church sold 765 tickets in one week.

Morning Star Church in Dardenne Prairie had an immediate and positive reaction when they announced the date of their Dec. 4 Christmas concert.

They sold 765 ticketsβ€”all that were availableβ€”in one week.

The concert by artistΒ Josh Wilson is called Noel: A Unique Christmas Experience. The program, which starts at 6:30 p.m. at the church, "will embrace the true spirit of Christmas," according to a press release.

Wilson will showcase his diverse musical talents by operating over 20 different instruments throughout the evening, using computers and pedals to record all of the sounds from each tool in front of the audience.

This allows every sound to be recorded as the night goes on. The end result is an extraordinary and magical holiday experience for the whole family.

"We feel very privileged to have Josh Wilson back here again for another amazing performance," Pastor Mike Schreiner said.

Proceeds will benefit Morning Star Church’s Christmas Wishes program that partners with local non-profits to provide gifts to under-resourced families in the community.

Josh Wilson is a singer/songwriter who grew up the son of a preacher in Lubbock, Texas. He signed to Sparrow Records in 2006 and released his major label debut, β€œTrying to Fit the Ocean in a Cup” in 2008. The album was met with critical acclaim, hailed by Christian Retailing as β€œthe future of Christian pop” and named among the Top Ten Best Albums of 2008 by GospelMusicChannel.com.

Since then he has released numerous No. 1 hits including β€œSavior Please” and the powerful track β€œBefore the Morning,” which recently landed the No. 4 spot on Billboard’s Year-End Christian Songs chart, while also releasing a sophomore album, β€œLife Is Not A Snapshot” and a compilation self-titled record. This year he released his third studio album β€œSee You,” which was praised by critics across the board.
