On the agenda tonight are

Because of yesterday's Labor Day holiday, the Lake Saint Louis Board of Aldermen is meeting tonight, Sept. 6, at the civic center.
On the agenda for discussion at the 5:30 joint work session:

On the agenda for the 7 p.m. Board of Aldermen meeting:
- A public hearing for a special use permit to operate a daycare facility to be known as Lake Saint Louis Academy at 11210 Veterans Memorial Parkway.
- A public hearing on the proposed property tax rates for the budget year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012. Property taxes are determined by multiplying the current tax rate by the assessed valuation.Β The result is divided by $100.00 so the tax rate will be assessed at 63.03 cents ($.6303) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the General Fund and 42.17 cents ($.4217) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation for the General Obligation Debt Service fund. The proposed General Fund rateΒ of $.6303 is higher than the projected General Fund rate from April 2011 of $.5951.
- An ordinance Β establishing the annual tax rate and special tax levy for the year 2011 on all property in the City of Lake Saint Louis, St. Charles County, Missouri.
- An ordinance amending the municipal code concerning formal contract procedures for purchasing.
- An ordinance providing for compliance with Section 393.275 of revised statutes of Missouri, for public utility gross receipts business license tax on public utilities receipts from service rendered to customers in the City of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri.
- Authorization for a one-year preventative maintenance and EMS monitoring agreement, with the option for two (2) one-year renewals, with C. E. Jarrell Contracting Company, Inc. for the Civic Center and Public Worksβ HVAC Mechanical Systems.
- An ordinance to adopt a budget revision
Time is available during board of aldermen meetings for public comments. Comments must be limited to three minutes.
