Lake Saint Louis Man Arrested for Theft
Shawn Timothy Jimenez faces charges resulting from a purse-snatching incident in January.

Shawn Timothy Jimenez was charged with theft in conjunction with a January 28 purse snatching at a Petromart on Bryan Road.
The victim was vacuuming her car when Jiminez allegedly came up behind her and took her purse from the front passenger seat. The purse and contents were valued at $668.50 and included credit cards, according to the O'Fallon police report.
Jimenez, who lives on Woodview Drive in Lake Saint Louis, is scheduled for arraignment on June 6. Bond was set at $7500.

Missouri Casenet lists several charges for Jimenez in 2010, including pending cases for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and driving with a revoked license. Jimenez pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge for an incident in St. Charles and was given a 90 day sentence. In September of 2010, he was charged with felony theft and frauulent use of a credit card by Lake Saint Louis police, to which he pleaded guilty and served 60 days.
