Luck, Be a Lady: 'Guys and Dolls' at Timberland

The Timberland High School Theatre Department presents the classic musical Guys and Dolls in the Carl E. Reininger Theatre on April 19, 20, and 21. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

“Guys and Dolls” follows the antics of Nathan Detroit (Alex Braun), who is trying to find a place for his floating crap game, while also trying to avoid the New York City police.

All the hot gamblers are in town, and they're depending on Nathan to set up this week's game—the only problem is, he needs $1,000 to rent a place. Throw in Sargeant Sarah (Madi Bell), who's short on sinners at the mission she runs; Sky Masterson (Bobby Killoren), who accepts Nathan's $1,000 bet that he can't get Sarah to go with him to Havana; Miss Adelaide (Tyler Hall), who wants Nathan to marry her; Police Lieutenant Brannigan (Adam Loehr), who always seems to appear at the wrong time; and the music/lyrics of Frank Loesser, and you've got quite a musical!

Additional cast members include Edward Williams as Nicely-Nicely, Kevin Belanger as Benny, Terrence Mickens as Rusty, Morgan Taylor as Arvide, Mia Castelli as Martha, Sage Malan as Calvin, Brendan Woods as Harry the Horse, Dylan Armstrong as Angie the Ox, Kristen Belanger as Mimi, Rachel Funken as General Cartwright, Dominic Brandt as Big Jule, and Ian Fitzpatrick as the Waiter.

The ensemble includes Becky Pisaret, Kaley Lammert, Phoebe Holtsclaw, Brooke Spires, Behla Kurzawa, Hannah Scott, Becky Deters, Clare Mate, Lauren Cole, Faith Williams, Kaitlyn Mabe, Jacob Overton, and Nick Rector.

The crew includes Stage Manager Jessica Song, Crew Chief Brendan Woods, and crew members Erica Bast, Larissa Ehlert, Troyer Coultas, Charlie Heger, Emily Boyer, Ryan Parr, Andrew Berg, Rachel Funken, Anna Helmer, Clare Mate, Sabrina Ward, Makenzie Johnson, and Mia Castelli. Costume Design was done by Ms. Megan Harshaw.

The cast and crew alike are preparing for a night of exciting music and action to capture the audience’s sense of adventure. Everyone is welcome to attend. Tickets can be purchased at the door, admission is $6 for adults and $5 for students. Senior Citizens (age 65 and older) are admitted at no charge.
