Monty Hobson, singer/songwriter, recently announced that he will perform a CD release concert on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the auditorium of Morning Star Church (1600 Feise Road, Dardenne Prairie, Mo) where Hobson serves as the Associate Music Director. Admission is $10 per attendee with all proceeds benefitting Imagine No Malaria. Cost includes a free The Word CD to be picked up night of concert. Tickets may be purchased by calling 636.561.5680 or by visiting www.mscwired.org/concert.
'The Word' is a CD titled after its focus, Jesus. Monty explains that, “His Name unifies and divides, comforts and offends, heals and wounds. In the four-year journey of putting these songs together I personally experienced each of these extremes as life's storms, spiritual resistance and my own failings tested the very Word I claim to believe. In every challenge of darkness, Jesus was and is the Word that ultimately gave me sanity, security and hope.”
“My prayer is that these songs will lift up His light for listeners while they encounter extremes along the road,” stated Hobson. “Rest assured, I know now, beyond every shadow of doubt, He is always with us.”
