Names for New Park Go to Board of Alderman for Final Decision
The new park, located at 200 W. Northview Ave., is a natural area that will also help with stormwater.

The final decision in the , located between and , is now up to the .
A total of 20 nominations were received from residents and classrooms. A committee picked their top choices from that list:
- Discovery Park
- Heritage Waters
- Northview Nature Nook
- Stone Bridge
- Northview Nature Park
- Echo Brook Park
- Noah's pARK
Parks Director Mary Jo Dessieux sent a memo to the Board of Aldermen on May 31 with the naming committee's top choices. The board will now discuss and vote on a winner.

The new park was created after the city completed a storm water project to provide flood relief.
The city website state that the site will serve as an outdoor class room for local schools, a pocket park for the neighborhood, and "a quiet respite for nature lovers."
