Police Blotter: Three Paddleboats Missing, Stolen Items on Craigslist

February 29

  • 8:53 a.m. Police were called to an accident on Prospect Road, where a vehicle struck a sign.
  • 2:21 p.m. Police were called to Cedar Cove Trail concerning an accidental fire. (See ,,,

  • 9:27 a.m. An officer responded to the 600 block of Woodchuck for a report of a missing paddleboat.
  • 5:56 p.m. An officer responded to the station to take a delayed report of domestic violence on Welsh Drive.
  • 6:59 p.m. A minor motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles was reported on Ronald Reagan Drive. No injuries were reported.
  • 7:33 p.m. An officer was dispatched to th 600 block of Bent Oak Drive in reference to a 911 hang-up call with a possible disturbance. A subject was taken to the hospital for a psychological evaluation.

  • 7:46 a.m. An accident was reported on Interstate 70.
  • 10:53 a.m. An accident was reported on Highway N.
  • 5:29 p.m. Officers responded to Cedar Bluff Drive for a report of a verbal argument in progress between a male and a female. The incident was determined to be non-criminal and no charges were filed.
  • 11:36 p.m. An accident with injury was reported on Ridgeway Avenue at Ronald Reagan Drive. 

March 3

  • 12:53 a.m. A fugitive was taken into custody on a warrant outstanding from another jurisdiction on Robert Raymond Drive at Hawk Ridge Trail.
  • 8:32 a.m. An officer responded to the 30th block of Silent Brook Court in reference to property damage to a mailbox.
  • 2:27 p.m. A forgery was reported on Cedar Circle Drive. A suspect was identified and the victim refused to prosecute.
  • 3:14 p.m. An officer responded to Windsurfer Court in reference to a subject wanted to report stolen property, a paddleboat.
  • 3:52 p.m. While on call on Windsurfer Court in regards to stolen property, another subject in the area reported a missing paddleboat.
  • 8:34 p.m. An officer responded to the 70th block of Rue Grand for a dispute over a firewood rack while an ex-boyfriend was moving out his ex-girlfriend's home. While they were tugging on the rack, it hit a wall and caused damage.
  • 8:56 p.m. An accident was reported on Rue Grand Drive.

  • 8:22 a.m. An officer responded to the 600 block of Woodchuck Lane for a report of a domestic disturbance. A summons was issued to a male subject for minor domestic assault.
  • 12:18 p.m. A wallet was found near the on Orf Road.
  • 12:48 p.m. A subject stole religious items from the hospital chapel. All items were recovered.
  • 3:38 p.m. An officer responded to Pointer Court for a report of stealing from a motor vehicle where a GPS and other miscellaneous property was taken from an unlocked vehicle.
  • 4:49 p.m. A subject in the lobby of the police department made a report of items stolen from his unlocked vehicle.
  • 4:55 p.m. An accident was reported on Veterans Memorial Parkway.
  • 11:10 p.m. An officer responded to the 100 block of Villa Drive in reference to an anonymous report of a possible domestic incident in progress. No charges were filed.

March 6

  • 5:37 a.m. An officer reported to the police department lobby to take a report of a larceny. A subject told the officer that items belonging to him were sold on Craigslist. The case is still under investigation.
  • 3:40 p.m. During a traffic stop for improper registration, the driver was arrested for driving while revoked.
  • 9:36 p.m. An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Oak Hill Drive to check on the well-being of a male who was thinking of harming himself. The subject was taken to the hospital for psychological evaluation.
