Rascals Report: Team Misses Chance to Clinch Division

The River City Rascals missed their chance to clinch the division Saturday with an 8-2 loss at Florence, KY. The team will have another opportunity tonight at 6 p.m. against the Freedlom.

The Rascals now have 63 wins with 7 games left in the regular season. 

The Rascals continue to lead the Frontier League with a 63-25 record. River City also has a 6.5 game lead on the Southern Illinois Miners in the West Division.

Once again the Rascals put up a winning week. River City went 3-2 in the last five games, clinching a playoff spot in the process.

• Thursday, Aug. 25: The Rascals came back after a loss Wednesday to beat Normal 4-3.

• Saturday, Aug. 27: River City's lost to Florence 8-2.
