St. Charles Man Hurt in Crash Early Wednesday

Wentzville, St. Charles drivers were involved in crash.

A St. Charles man was injured in an early morning accident Wednesday on Interstate 370 east of Truman Blvd.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.

A 2008 Jeep Wrangler driven by Adam J. Berkel, 27, St. Charles, was in the second lane when Berkel attempted to move into the first lane

The front of Berkel's vehicle struck the rear of a 2002 Dodge Ram, driven by Ervin J. Schoppel, 34, .

Berkel sustained minor injuries. He was taken to by St. Charles EMS.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
