Teachers, Staffers Waited Anxiously for Election News

A group of parents, Prop 3 committee members, teachers and staff held a watch party at the Lake Saint Louis Community Association clubhouse.

They waited anxiously for election results to scroll across the bottom of the TV screens. Several of them with smartphones checked for results from the county election website. Everyone waited anxiously — then a voice called out "We won!"

It was the news they had hoped to hear. Prop 3 had passed. The new levy will fund additional classroom space and a new high school for the district, which is the fastest-growing school district in the state.
