Therapeutic Horsemanship is excited to offer an inclusionary summer camp experience
for children ages 5 to 18 with and without disabilities. Camp Champ is a great blend between
therapeutic and recreational activities for your child to learn, grow, make new
friends, and learn new and interesting skills!
All participants
will have hands-on activities with horses, including grooming, tacking, and
riding. Campers will have multiple
encounters with our horses each day.
Campers will also participate in various other activities that will
involve music, art, outside play, and will have presentations from various “guest
performers”.
Each week of Camp Champ offers a
full-day or half-day program. Since our
campers will be of varying age groups and functional levels we will grade
activities individually so that every camper will be able to participate and
enjoy their activities. We will have
occupational therapists, art therapists, music therapists, as well as certified
riding instructors to facilitate activities to ensure every participant has a
great summer camp experience.

At Therapeutic Horsemanship we pride ourselves on having a great facility! We have more than 80 acres to play on that
include an indoor and outdoor riding arenas, a sensory trail, riding trails, a
pond, and a large multi-purpose room that is air conditioned. All camp activities are “weather permitting”
and held at our facility at 332 Stable Lane in Wentzville,
MO. Our indoor arena is not air
conditioned but we are able to beat the heat most of the time with our two
industrial size barn fans. If it does
get too hot for even the barn fans to save us we will have various other
activities lined up; our horses can always use a good bath!
