Timberland Girls Soccer Finishes With a 3-18 Season

Lady Bulldogs beat Timberland 2-0 in the opening round of Districts.

It was Zumwalt South versus Timberland in the first round of  girls' soccer district play at Troy Buchannan High School—and the Lady Bulldogs challenged the Lady Wolves from the beginning.

Zumwalt South put five shots on goal in the first 30 minutes. Sophomore Taylor Wade netted a goal with 3:40 left to play in the first half—an important goal in the eyes of Zumwalt South head coach Vernon Gano.

“I think we were a little tense and tight with this being the first district game,” he said. “It takes one [goal] to get you loosened up and that’s what happened for us.”
