Two Wentzville Residents Injured in Crash

On Highway 61 at Route P.

Two residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday, April 8, on Highway 61 at Route P.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 5:25 p.m. A 2000 Ford Ranger driven by Christopher M. McKernon, 18, Wentzville, was traveling northbound on Highway 61. A 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Morgan A. Roberts, 17,O'Fallon, was heading westbound on Route P.

Roberts failed to yield right of way, entered the intersection and struck McKernon's truck.

Roberts, McKernon and McKernon's passenger, 11-year-old Kelly C. McKernon, all sustained minor injuries. All three were taken to by St. Charles County Ambulance. 

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
