Vantage Credit Union Announces Thomas Smith As its $10,000 Upgrade Loan Promotion Winner

Eric Acree, President and CEO of Vantage Credit Union, presented Thomas Smith of Wentzville with a ceremonial check in the amount of $10,000. Smith was chosen randomly from nearly 6,800 qualifying entries in the credit union’s annual summer loan campaign, which ran from June 2 to September 30.
In order to qualify, members must have closed on a qualifying loan of $1,000 or more, or increased an existing loan or line-of-credit by $1,000 or more, during the promotional period. Smith took out a loan for a work truck. When he received the call last week, his initial response was one of disbelief.
“I couldn’t believe it was real. It was overwhelming to realize I had just won $10,000,” commented Smith. “With a new baby at home, it couldn’t have come at a better time.”

Smith went to the O’Fallon branch to apply for his loan. Loan officer Ashlie Colbert and branch manager Jennifer Moore were both on hand to congratulate him.
