Whiz Kids: Renaissance Students

• Accomplishment: High scholastic achievement through the 2010-11 school year.
• Key To Awesomeness: Renaissance is a distinction awarded to sixth, seventh and eighth grade students at three levels: Gold represents the students that have achieved all A's, Silver represents grades of A's and B's and Bronze signifies that the students have achieved A's and B's with only one C.  Students are also required to have no more than two absences per semester in order to receive the distinction.

South Middle School’s top students were treated to a free sack lunch from on May 20. This is the fifth year Hardee's has donated lunches to South Middle’s Renaissance students who achieve at a high level for three straight quarters.    

Hardees treated approximately 275 students this year and 39 of those students were GOLD Renaissance (straight A’s) all three quarters.

Hardees District Manager Robert Maddox said they enjoy giving back to the community and recognizing hard-working students.

“These kids are achieving A’s in the classroom and it’s our pleasure to reward them for their efforts.”
