• Community prepares memorial for Billings teen struck by car while walking to school (ktvq.com) — Billings students and neighbors are rallying around Will James Middle School seventh-grader Chase Lantz with red ribbons, bracelets, and a fundraiser at Mackenzie River Pizza Co. after he was critically injured walking to school. The crash near Grand Avenue and Rehberg Lane is also prompting a renewed citywide "Go Slow, Be Safe, Be Kind" traffic-safety push and an active Billings police investigation.
   

• 2 dead after suspected homicide, officer-involved shooting in Harlem (kpax.com) — Billings residents should know that the city's police SWAT team was deployed overnight to assist in a deadly standoff in Harlem, where a woman was found dead and the suspect was killed after exchanging gunfire with officers. Multiple agencies, including FBI negotiators and regional tactical units, responded amid concerns about a possible hostage situation and nearby school safety, and state investigators are now reviewing the homicide and officer-involved shooting.
