• Billings City Council to consolidate 3 TIF oversight boards, triggering hire of new coordinator (ktvq.com) — Billings City Council has voted 9–2 to merge three tax increment financing (TIF) oversight boards into a single board and hire a dedicated TIF coordinator, centralizing decisions at City Hall. Supporters say one board and one meeting will simplify public participation and improve efficiency, while two council members worry it could dilute neighborhood-level insight into how redevelopment dollars are spent. This change will shape how future projects in south and downtown Billings are reviewed and funded.
• MSGA's Annual Convention Set to Bring Montana's Livestock Industry Together in Billings (hilinetoday.com) — Billings will host the Montana Stockgrowers Association's 142nd Annual Convention and Trade Show December 3–5, bringing ranchers and ag leaders from across the state into town. Locals can attend policy sessions, a water symposium, trade show events, and the Grand Finale Banquet, with early-bird registration open through November 27. It's a prime chance for Billings residents in agriculture to network and learn.
