Bozeman sees nearly 100 reported bike thefts in 2026 (nbcmontana.com) β Nearly 100 bikes have been reported stolen in Bozeman so far this year, with thieves targeting everything from $20 rides to pricey e-bikes across all neighborhoods. Police urge residents and MSU students to lock bikes every time, record serial numbers, and photograph distinguishing features so stolen bikes can be traced, recovered, or linked through regional investigations.

Statewide Fisheries Management Plan and proposed regulations meeting scheduled for Aug. 27 in Bozeman (mt.gov) β Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is inviting Bozeman-area residents to a public meeting on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. at the FWP Bozeman office on South 19th to discuss the 2027β30 Statewide Fisheries Management Plan and 2027β28 fishing regulations. Locals can review the draft plan online now and submit comments by Sept. 14.

Crystal Festival β A Rock, Mineral, Gem, & Crystal Show (bozone.com) β Bozeman rockhounds and curious families can dive into two full days of crystals, fossils, gems, and hands-on geology fun at the Crystal Festival, coming to the Gallatin County Fairgrounds September 12β13. With extended hours, dozens of vendors, educational displays, and kid-friendly activities, it's designed as an easy local outing whether you're a serious collector or just crystal-curious.

MSU's Woods, Meredith look to take next step in 2026 (nbcmontana.com) β Montana State football standouts Jabez Woods and Bryant Meredith are sharpening their games in Bozeman as fall camp continues ahead of the August 29 opener. Both Bobcats say added comfort, film work, and returning experience have boosted confidence as they aim for bigger roles on a defense and offense coming off a national title run.
