Today's riddle: I'm a rock group with 4 members; one member was assassinated. What am I? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Bozeman Fire commends restaurant staff for helping contain Main Street blaze (bozemandailychronicle.com) — A kitchen and roof fire at J.W. Heist Steakhouse on Main Street was quickly contained Thursday thanks to the restaurant staff's training and a fast response from Bozeman firefighters and police. Nearby bar Plonk closed temporarily during the operation, but no injuries were reported and officials don't expect smoke or fire damage there while the fire's cause is investigated.
2. A high cost: Young cancer patients weigh fertility preservation (bozemandailychronicle.com) — Young cancer patients across Montana must travel to Bozeman for specialized fertility preservation care, often facing high out-of-pocket costs even after the state's new Preserving Fertility Act took effect. Local patient advocate Katie Beall and the nonprofit Chick Mission are working to bridge insurance gaps, provide Hope Grants for egg freezing, and recently brought a mobile awareness camper to Bozeman as part of a national tour.
3. Milton fires another 66 to take Kalispell Invite title (dailyinterlake.com) — Bozeman High's golfers turned in solid performances at the Kalispell Invitational, with the boys placing fifth and standout Will Benne shooting a 148 over two rounds. The Bozeman girls finished 10th, competing in a strong field dominated by Gallatin's winning squad and medalists from Polson, Capital, Hamilton and Whitefish.
4. Planned Parenthood Expands To Bozeman With New Montana Clinic (bigstack1039.com) — Bozeman will soon get its own Planned Parenthood clinic, giving about 1,400 Gallatin County residents a much closer option for reproductive and sexual health care. Expected to open in summer 2027 near Montana State University, the center will offer birth control, STI testing, abortions, gender-affirming care, and some primary care, with most construction funding already raised.
