1. Friendship Center in Helena faces months-long recovery after flood damage (ktvh.com) — A burst pipe severely damaged multiple rooms at Helena's Friendship Center, forcing staff to move domestic violence survivors into hotels and limiting already scarce local shelter space. Man dies after he was accidentally run over by tractor near East Helena (kxlh.com) — A 58-year-old resident died Monday evening after apparently being run over by a tractor while collecting hay bales north of East Helena, according to the Lewis and Clark County sheriff-coroner. Authorities say no one witnessed the incident, but evidence indicates the tractor struck him, and life-saving efforts at the rural property were unsuccessful.

3. JN Roberts Passes (cyclenews.com) — Legendary desert racer and Hollywood stuntman JN Roberts, a Hall of Famer known as the "King of the Desert," died at his home in Helena on August 18 at age 84.
