Lewis & Clark County History Center, 618 Helena Avenue (Steamboat Block), downtown Helena
Living history performer John Barrows portrays Robert S. Kelley, one of Helena’s early and notorious pro-slavery figures. Kelley was a Bozeman Trail gold seeker, filed the second claim in Grizzly Gulch, served as U.S. Marshal for the Montana Territory, and was superintendent of the Montana Territorial Prison in Deer Lodge. You’ve seen Barrows as Dr. Glick, and his Kelley is a showstopper. Free and refreshments served.
Presented by the Lewis & Clark County Historical Society. (406) 422-0546 or www.L-CCHS.org
