Proposal to move City Council Meetings to 6 p.m.

The April 27 City Council agenda includes a proposal to change the Council meeting time to 6 p.m. as proposed by Council leadership. Meetings that include matters of great public interest often go long into the evening. The proposal is to move the Council meeting time up by an hour to allow more time for the public to comment before it’s time to retire. The proposal requires a two-thirds vote of all Council members to be approved. If it’s approved, it will be effective for all future City Council meetings.
