Henderson Police Chief Out, Deputy Chief Now Acting Chief

It's the second time in five years that the city has replaced its chief.

For the second time in five years, Henderson has replaced its chief of police. On Thursday, the city announced that Chief Patrick Moers would be replaced by Deputy Chief Todd Peters on an interim basis.

Moers, who came under investigation earlier this month over his involvement with the fundraising group that works with the police department, had joined the department in 1991 as a patrol officer.

He went on to hold leadership positions in Patrol, Investigations, Traffic, Internal Affairs, and the Office of Professional Standards.
