Republican National Committeewoman Resigns Over Roy Moore Support
While the RNC had pulled support of Moore last month, it got behind him again after Trump endorsed him. This Republican wasn't having it.

LINCOLN, NE — Joyce Simmons, the Republican national committeewoman from Nebraska, resigned on Monday over her party's support of Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race. Simmons informed the 168-member governing body in an email that she had tendered her resignation.
She wrote: "I strongly disagree with the recent RNC financial support directed to the Alabama Republican Party for use in the Roy Moore race."
She said she wishes she could have continued her service "to the national Republican Party that I used to know well."

The RNC pulled support from Moore following sexual misconduct accusations against him last month. But the organization re-entered the race once President Donald Trump endorsed Moore, citing the need for a Republican in the seat.
Several women accused Moore of sexual misconduct. The accusations have left many GOP voters and leaders in a quandary. Voters must decide whether to vote for Moore, accused of sexual misconduct with teenagers decades ago when he was a county prosecutor, or sending Democrat Doug Jones to Washington, which would narrow the GOP's already precarious majority in the Senate.
