📰 News we're reading

• Meat Pods could be a processing option for rural communities, producers (thefencepost.com) — A new meat distribution site for pre-ordered local beef is planned for La Vista, with the Nebraska Farmers Network aiming to open it in spring 2027. The facility will support a broader "Meat Pods" system that lets ranchers process cattle locally, shorten supply chains, and potentially bring more Nebraska-raised beef directly to area consumers and restaurants.
