A grand jury found no criminal conduct but recommended better medical-emergency training, while sealed diversion records leave the timing of the dropped warrant unclear.

Teaching firefighters the importance of sleep and mental health (ketv.com) — Omaha firefighters are opening up about how sleepless 24-hour shifts and traumatic calls strain their mental health, with Capt. Justin Cooley leading sleep-hygiene classes and peer support. After several firefighter suicides in Omaha over the past decade, Cooley says a culture shift toward vulnerability and mental health awareness is helping first responders better care for themselves and each other.
