The agenda includes reports on rider feedback, Metro staff updates, and new downtown wayfinding technology, giving you a chance to hear plans and share your own transit concerns.

Five Omaha leaders are scaling Mount Kilimanjaro to raise $155,000 each for North Omaha Lighthouse homes (3newsnow.com) — Five local leaders are about to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise roughly $155,000 each for new Lighthouse homes in North Omaha, with the trek running October 9–18. Omaha nonprofit Abide says these homes, each led by a trusted neighborhood leader, can significantly reduce crime and violence, and is inviting residents to support the effort through donations.
   

3. From potholes and broken streetlights to graffiti and litter, your reports go straight to the right city contacts. It's a simple way for neighbors to keep the area cleaner, safer, and more welcoming together.
   

4. Omaha neighborhood residents worry new apartments could worsen flooding (wowt.com) — Residents near 35th and Frederick in Omaha are worried a planned 200-plus unit apartment project by the I‑80 grain silos could worsen already severe sewer backups that have flooded basements three times in 12 years. City officials say new developments must control stormwater and are considering changes to the backflow valve cost‑share program that could soon affect eligible homeowners.
   

5. Stolen Omaha, Council Bluffs cemetery vases returned to relatives after yearlong wait (wowt.com) — Families from the Omaha–Council Bluffs area are finally reclaiming hundreds of bronze and brass cemetery vases stolen from graves last year, many now available at Westlawn-Hillcrest in Omaha. Police recovered 843 vases and convicted nine people, but relatives still must search through unmarked pieces to find the best match for their loved ones' memorials.
