Cimarron (1931): Cimarron is an epic Western drama set during and after the 1889 Oklahoma Land Rush. It follows the ambitious newspaper editor and lawyer Yancey Cravat and his wife, Sabra Cravat, as they build a new life in the frontier town of Osage. While Yancey is repeatedly drawn away by adventure and causes he believes in, Sabra remains behind to raise their family and lead the newspaper, eventually becoming a respected civic leader. The film explores themes of frontier expansion, ambition, social change, and the evolution of the American West over several decades.
