Chase launched its first branch in Omaha on Tuesday in Aksarben Village as it continues its expansion into Nebraska. Chase plans to open a total of eight branches in Omaha over the next two years, creating about 80 jobs.

The new full-service Chase branch, located at 6700 Mercy Road, Suites 106-108, will feature the latest digital technology offering customers convenience while employees will adhere to safety protocols to keep customers and employees safe.

“I am thrilled and super proud to open the first Chase branch in Omaha, especially in Aksarben Village, a location that’s easily accessible to all residents of the metro area,” said Branch Manager Ali Husain. “Our team is excited and invites the Omaha community to come by and enjoy the difference Chase brings to the client experience.”

Chase’s expansion into Omaha is part of the firm’s plans, announced in early 2019, to open branches in numerous new U.S. markets, including Nebraska. Approximately 30 percent of new branches will be located in low-to-moderate income communities.

In December 2019, Chase also opened a branch at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.

“The response to our branch in Lincoln has been incredible as we have welcomed many clients from surrounding cities and states who were waiting for us to have a presence,” said Kiley Sidman, Chase’s Banking Market Director who is overseeing the expansion in Nebraska. “Omaha is a great city to live and work in, and we look forward to partnering with the community.”

The expansion into Omaha adds retail and business banking to a market where the firm already serves hundreds of thousands of consumers and local businesses, including clients through its Commercial Bank. Today in Omaha, Chase serves 154,000 consumer customers and almost 7,000 businesses. Statewide, Chase serves 292,000 consumer customers and 14,000 businesses.

The new branch features modern, bright designs with comfortable meeting areas and state-of-the-art banking technology, including deposit-friendly ATMs that dispense cash in multiple denominations. The branch will be open Monday to Friday from 9-5 and on Saturdays from 9-1. An ATM in the vestibule is available 24 hours a day. The branch phone number is 402-970-6353.

The branch will be staffed with a dedicated Chase Private Client team who provides premium banking services, personalized attention and access to the expertise and investment capabilities of J.P. Morgan to help families reach their most important goals, plus personal bankers. Customers may also meet with financial and home lending advisors and business banking relationship managers.

The branch also features teller partition glass to safeguard employees and customers, alcohol-based hand sanitizer at main entrances, transaction lines and reception areas and a regular cleaning protocol to help reduce the spread of germs and viruses.

Chase’s services are also available through its mobile app and website, which give customers the option to open a new checking or savings account with a click of a button. Chase’s new all-digital bank for smartphones also gives customers the option to open a new checking or savings account with a click of a button.

The branch team of about 10 employees was hired locally. Entry-level employees in Omaha will be paid no less than $15/hour and will receive the firm’s full benefits package, which is valued at an average of $12,000 annually per employee in this pay range. It includes health care coverage and retirement savings, as well. To help ease the burden of out-of-pocket medical expenses, the firm also reduced medical plan deductibles by $750 per year for employees making less than $60,000.
