Nevada Diabetics Will Have To Wait For Capping Insulin Prices

As it turns out, the plan but might not be legal.

State Senator Yvanna Cancela thought she had a good idea - cap the price of insulin for diabetics in the state. Turns out that, while it might have been a good idea, it might be legal. As a result, she is withdrawing the proposal.

The proposal would have provided for private-sector refunds but the's been informed that could have been a violation of federal interstate commerce laws.

So, when she introduces her bill on Wednesday aimed at skyrocketing drug prices, it will still deal with issues such as forcing disclosure of donations from pharmaceutical companies.
