Senator Heller's Speech Interrupted By Protesters

The senator arrived at the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce to talk about infrastructure and was met by protesters.

Senator Dean Heller showed up at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino's ballroom on Friday to address a luncheon hosted by the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce. The topic was supposed to be infrastructure.

It didn't quite go as smoothly as planned.

One protester after another rose from one of the tables and yelled loudly at Heller, interrupting him.

The shouts covered everything from a woman saying she would if Obamacare were to be repealed to one woman accusing Heller of being a "job killer."

Nevada's senior senator acknowledged that these are divisive times.

"There's a lot of anger on both sides of the political aisle," he said. "More anger than I've seen in my political career."

At one point, the president of the chamber of commerce took the microphone and asked people to please show Heller some respect.

By the end of the lunch, four people were escorted out by security.
