Allstate Employees Partner Together for Bring Out the Good Month in Las Vegas

Allstate employees partner together with Three Square Food Bank to help take on ongoing hunger problems in Southern Nevada

“At Allstate, we believe in improving lives and making communities stronger,” says Kimberley Bowler, Allstate Event Leader.

Throughout April, Allstate employees and agency owners across the country volunteered their time to address pressing social needs.

Recently, Las Vegas-based Allstate employees and agency owners banded together with Three Square Food Bank. The Allstate volunteers’ mission was to take on ongoing hunger problems in Southern Nevada. The volunteer project was part of Allstate’s annual Bring Out the Good Month. Bring Out the Good Month encourages Allstate employees to volunteer and donate to causes they care about in their local communities.

This volunteer project was one of hundreds supported by nearly 13,000 Allstaters. Together, Allstate employees and agency owners also raised more than $7 million for more than 8,000 nonprofit organizations.

“Bring Out the Good Month has special meaning for Allstaters,” adds Bowler. “It’s a time we can come together around the country to volunteer for the causes we’re passionate about and help staff soup kitchens, mentor youth and beautify community spaces. Supporting others is truly our purpose and it’s a source of pride for us.”

Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing food assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties.Three Square provides wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They combine food banking (warehousing canned and boxed goods), food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets), and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada.

In addition to volunteering during Allstate’s Bring Out the Good Month, Allstaters are encouraged to support local nonprofits throughout the year. In 2016, Allstate employees and agency owners donated 230,000 volunteer hours and supported more than 8,800 nonprofits with monetary donations.
