New $8.4 million fire training facility coming to east Las Vegas (ktnv.com) — Las Vegas is building a new $8.4 million fire training facility in east Las Vegas, funded through city capital improvement dollars to improve firefighter training and emergency response. Longtime residents describe how fast responses have already saved lives, while Fire Chief Fernando Gray says the upgraded site will better prepare crews for hazmat, tunnel, and technical rescues, with completion expected in mid-2027.

  • Did anybody else hear and feel that huge boom?
    I'm at Alta and the 215 Beltway. We can't figure out if it came from the Beltway or it sounded like it came from down Alta. It sounded like an… (Nextdoor Manorwood)
